# Buying DRC tokens

###

{% hint style="info" %}
**ATTENTION:** This document is a rough draft and hasn't been fully developed yet.

The contents here-in may be incomplete, out-of-date, and modified radically in future revisions.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
This guide uses Metamask for its wallet and assumes you have already setup a MetaMask wallet using the instructions provided in the[ Setting Up Metamask guide.](/dracula-protocol/guides/metamask/installation-and-setup.md)
{% endhint %}

## **Step 1: Send ETH to the MetaMask Wallet**

Once you’ve set up a new wallet in MetaMask, click on ETH and select Receive, copy your ETH wallet address (begins with 0x), and paste it when prompted by the wallet you are sending ETH or an ERC-20 token from.

After verifying the address you are sending to is your MetaMask wallet address, accept all fees necessary to send the transaction.

{% hint style="info" %}
Keep at least **0.1 ETH** in the Metamask wallet at all times for transaction fees.
{% endhint %}

## **Step 2: Connect MetaMask wallet to a DEX**

Use a DEX that supports DRC to swap tokens (ETH, USDT, et al) for DRC.

**Current Decentralized Exchanges that swap DRC include:**

* [Uniswap](https://app.uniswap.org/#/swap)
* [Linkswap](https://blog.yflink.io/linkswap-launch-pair-drc/)
* [Bilaxy](https://bilaxy.com)

## **Step 3: Swap ETH tokens for DRC Tokens.**

Now that your MetaMask Wallet is connected to DEX, swap ETH or another ERC-20 token for DRC.

[A Step by Step Guide to swapping ETH for DRC on Uniswap is available.](/dracula-protocol/guides/uniswap/acquire-drc-on-uniswap.md)

(Best way to guarantee it’s the correct DRC is to go to CoinGecko and search for Dracula Protocol. Click on it. Copy the Contract Address (Token Address) and paste it in Uniswap where you would normally type in “DRC”). The Official DRC token address can be found here: <https://etherscan.io/token/0xb78B3320493a4EFaa1028130C5Ba26f0B6085Ef8>

If you're getting a message about Insufficient Funds check our [FAQ](/dracula-protocol/faq.md).

{% hint style="info" %}
It’s a good idea to store at least **0.15 ETH** in the MetaMask wallet used to swap and stake to easily facilitate additional swaps or transactions when necessary.
{% endhint %}

## **Step 4: Approve the Swap**

Approve token if asked or just go ahead and click Swap. Accept the following prompt asking to confirm the transaction and any fees necessary.

## **Step 5: Confirm the Transaction**

Once the token swap is confirmed on the Ethereum blockchain purchased DRC tokens will appear in the MetaMask wallet used to swap the tokens.

If it doesn’t show up after 5 minutes, you’ll need to add a Custom Token to MetaMask. Paste the Dracula Protocol DRC Contract/Token Address (**0xb78b3320493a4efaa1028130c5ba26f0b6085ef8**) from CoinGecko, and it will automatically fill in the other 2 fields.
